Supply Lists

Below are recommended supplies needed for my classes in my home studio.

Students Choice Watercolor Supply List

 

 • Arches Bright White watercolor sheet paper 140# 22x30 Cold Pressed, or Winsor & Newton watercolor paper 140# 22x30 Cold Pressed.

 • 1/2 inch natural or synthetic brush (your choice of round or flat ferrule)

 • 1 inch natural or synthetic brush (your choice of round or flat ferrule)

 • 12 point and 14 point round watercolor brush

 • 12 point and 14 point flat ferrule watercolor brush

 • Container for water

 • Paper towels

 • Base or plexiglass to hold your watercolor paper

 • Watercolor palette big enough to mix watercolors (I recommend the John Pikes palette)

 • Pencil and eraser

 • Watercolor Paints (I recommend Winsor & Newton)

 

China Painting with Wipe Out Tools

 

 • Small (4), Medium (7) and Large (12) China painting brushes with pointed rigger

 • Wipe out tool of your own (or you can purchase one from me the first day of class)

 • Porcelain piece to design (it can already be painted on or it could be a blank)

 • China paint colors in light to dark values of yellow, red and blue (I recommend Rynne's China Company paints)

 • Viva Paper towels

 • Open medium of your choice (or you can purchase from me the first day of class)

 • Brush cleaner of your choice (or you can purchase from me the first day of class)

 • Turntable

 

China Painting with Textures and Embellishments

(Textures and Embellishments will be provided)
